Contrary to popular opinion, NASA has never been a civilian agency. It is directly linked to the Dept. of Defense. I know because I have seen the official document. What this means is that you will hear the same old BS year after year and never the truth. No matter how many of you give me a thumbs down, I have told you the truth! NASA-Never a Straight Answer.
Obviously a door-handle. One twist and pull, then the whole rock section will hinge outward giving access to the Martian tunnel complex. Need to find out if access is via stairs or ramps as the rover drivers may need to adapt the programming to cope. An in-and-out autonomous drive will of course be required as orbiter contact could not be maintained through the rock. Would love to be a fly on the wall at JPL now. Those guys must be going wild!

Obviously: Some parts of an alienspaceship that crashed on mars, now they will head over to planet earth and eat all of our brains :-)) Maybe its just the effect of direct lighting with some metal/copper/et c. in the rock that reflects incoming light rays perpendicular to its arrival sector (called phong-shading in computer graphics).
Yes, lower left hand corner of that pic has many anomalies. It is highly probable they are not natural. The area where the chisel marks are would not simply come into existence with rock that is consistent. The area is "shaped". There is one small area where it appears there are two fossils, but I needed to brighten the pic to get better contrast. I am a rockhound and have seen thousands of rocks and rock settings in nature. That picture from Mars has some very questionable areas, in addition to the metallic "crab". Why is the area in front of it depressed and clean? Why is there a ridge that vaguely resembles the shape of the thing? If it were alive, would the area in front of it, be its sleeping area? I have blown up the image and it appears to have an "eye" on the end, much like crabs on earth. I rarely get excited about stuff, but I believe the "experts" are missing a lot in that photo. Some of the anomalies are right there for all to see !
